At Wecasa, we do not take immediate payments when you book a service. Instead, we place a bank pre-authorization to secure the transaction. Here’s how it works! 👇
💡 How does Wecasa’s payment system work?
1️⃣ A pre-authorisation is placed on your bank account when you book.
2️⃣ This is NOT an immediate charge—your card is only debited the day after your appointment.
3️⃣ If you modify or cancel your booking, the pre-authorized amount will be automatically updated or released accordingly.
🚨 Why do I see a charge on my bank account?
Even though the payment is not taken immediately, some banks may temporarily display the pre-authorized amount as a pending transaction.
Depending on your payment service provider's processing times, it may take up to 7 working days for the authorization to be processed in your bank account.
❗️ Monzo Bank may take longer.
🔄 What happens if I change my booking?
If you modify your appointment (e.g., change duration or cancel), the pre-authorisation is adjusted automatically to reflect the new total.
✅ If your service costs less, the extra amount will be released.
✅ If your service is canceled, the pre-authorization will be voided and no payment will be taken.
❓ Have concerns?
If you have any questions or notice an issue with your payment, feel free to contact us via chat in the Wecasa app (Account > Contact us). We’re happy to help! 😊
